Meow!

 January is about to end and I still have a lot on my list left unaccomplished! If only the weekends were longer. Work has been busy lately and on the other hand I have been organizing a surprise baby shower for my sister. I have selected a 'Hello Kitty' theme since she will be having a baby girl. There are still things to plan and prepare such as the decors, food and invites and did I mention that the party will be in two weeks? Even a small party entails a lot of preparation, especially if you only have the weekends to do it.

I just finished watching the finale for Project Runway 9 and I am so inspired with Anya! :) She's only learned how to sew for 4 months and yet she won the competition. NOW THAT IS TRUE TALENT! We have similar styles, the love for flowy drapey printed garments. I have been rooting for her since the beginning and I am so glad she won! It was a tough competition because all the designers presented fantastic collections. Cheers to all the designers for the great show!

My Birthday Treat

I celebrated my birthday last week and decided to take a leave from work. How did I celebrate? By shopping of course! Im officially in my mid-20's! YIKES! and yet I still feel so unaccomplished and confused with my life. I got myself two chiffon blouses which I am loving right now :) The star printed top was a gift from my sister.

I love all the prints here! Leopard, polka dots and stars! I love how the mustard chiffon top is complemented with the polka dots, so retro! 

 

I also got some buttons for my DIY projects! Can't wait to get started on it!

 

Just an update, I finally bought a corkboard for my vision board. Took quite some time because I was looking for a larger one but I went to 4 branches already and they were all out. So I had to settle for this smaller one which measures about 15 X 23 inches. Oh so much to do!

What do you think..

of the detachable collar trend?

At first I was not interested in this trend but as I saw printed, lace and sequined ones, I decided get one for myself. Plus, seeing how lookbook-ers were wearing it, it really looked like a great way to preppify an outfit. I got myself these two detachable collars last week.

This Sequined Champagne Peter Pan Collar is from multiply.

 This second collar with a bow tie is from... a pet store! Its a dog collar! Heehee! I got the biggest size and it was just too preppy to resist! Fits just right and no one will ever think its for dogs once worn.

I only spent less than P500 for both! Sweet :)

Hee, I should really learn how to use the manual settings of the camera rather than auto.

HAPPY 2012!

I’ve been sick since Christmas and all throughout New Year’s. I didn’t even wait until midnight to see the fireworks since I was asleep by 10pm! It’s the first time I missed the New Year but I was so tired and dizzy that I just had to check in early thus no posts either. I wanted to post some of the items I got during the Mango sale and what I wore on Christmas day. I will try to post it by the end of the week. 

So this 2012, one of my goals is to blog regularly! Maybe I should make this my New Year Resolution blog wherein I fulfill everything in the list and document it right here.This year will be different. I have decided to really STICK with my goals. I plan to do this by first getting myself a corkboard for my 2012 VISION BOARD.

1. Visuals -  your sub consciousness works in pictures and images 

2.    2. Emotions – each image should make you happy and fuel your passion to achieve it
